Resolution Authorizing Sanitary Sewer Charge for 3390 E Huron River Drive ($1,026.23)
Memorandum
Your approval is requested to levy a sanitary sewer improvement charge of $1,026.23 on the property known as 3390 E Huron River Drive. In order to receive City utility service, the owner requested annexation from Ann Arbor Township, which was completed on December 27, 2007, as notified by the State of Michigan. The property has paid the applicable connection charges and is “active” for sanitary sewer service. Water utility service is not currently available to serve this property.

According to the sanitary sewer agreement, the property owner needs to now pay the property’s share of the existing utilities through the City improvement charge levy as required under section 1:278, Chapter 12, of the Ann Arbor Code. The $1,026.23 Utilities Improvement Charge is to be levied and then made payable in 1 installment.

It is therefore recommended that Council levy this improvement charge according to the terms described above.
