Resolution to Approve Whittington Annexation, 1.01 Acres, 205 Orchard Hills Drive (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 9 Yeas and 0 Nays).
Memorandum
This resolution is to approve annexation of this property into the City, which is within the City's water and sewer service area and is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. It will come back for Council action on the zoning change to R1B (Single-Family Dwelling District) after the annexation process is complete. The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of October 16, 2007, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Ann Arbor and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Orchard Place, LLC, is the owner of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of Orchard Place, LLC, to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 359 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1947, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township of Ann Arbor and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
Lot 65, Hillwood Subdivision No. 5, as recorded in Liber 21 of Plats, Pages 42, 43 and 44, Washtenaw County Records; and Lot 23 of Orchard Hills No. 1, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Liber 10 of Plats, Page 44, Washtenaw County Records, Ann Arbor Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan,
