Resolution Authorizing Summary Publication of Ordinance No. ORD-07-47 - Ordinance to Add a New Section 1:238 to Chapter 8 (Organization of Boards and Commissions) of Title I and to Add a New Chapter 24 to Title I of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor (Public Art Ordinance)
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. ORD-07-47, which adds a new Section 1:238 to Chapter 8 of Title I of the City Code to establish the Ann Arbor Public Art Commission and adds a new Chapter 24, Public Art, to provide for the inclusion of funds for public art in capital improvement projects funded wholly or partly by the city and to provide for the Ann Arbor Public Art Commission to serve as the oversight body for the public art program.
The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City’s cost resulting from the required publication of the revisions to the City Code.

RESOLVED, That Ordinance No. ORD-07-47 be published by the following summary:
