Title
Resolution to Direct Planning and Development Services Staff to Initiate Rezoning of Lower Burns Park Neighborhood
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will result in Planning and Development Services staff initiating the rezoning of the lots within portions of the Lower Burns Park Neighborhood, bounded by E. Stadium, State, Dewey and Packard.  Residents of the Lower Burns Park Neighborhood Association have asked the City to rezone this area from R4C (Multiple-Family Dwelling District) and R2A (Two-Family Dwelling District) to R1D (Single-Family Dwelling District) in order to preserve the single-family character of the neighborhood (see attached comparison chart).  The Central Area Plan recommends that the R4C zoning along Golden Avenue be rezoned to "protect existing lower density development."  This neighborhood is one of seven neighborhoods that the Central Area Plan has recommended for rezoning.
