Resolution Recognizing Ann Arbor Youth Chorale as a Civic Nonprofit Organization Operating in Ann Arbor for the Purpose of Obtaining a Charitable Gaming License
Memorandum
To obtain a charitable gaming license under Michigan law, a nonprofit organization is required to submit a resolution from its local governing body recognizing it as a community-based organization.

Ann Arbor Youth Chorale is a 501(c)3 civic nonprofit organization that provides children with musical, social and educational opportunities so that they may develop their own personal sense of worth and that of others, through the art of choral singing. They exist to enrich artistically the lives of children, their families and the community through choral music performance.

Passage of the attached resolution will allow the Ann Arbor Youth Chorale to hold a raffle at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ, located at 423 S. Fourth Ave., in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Passage of this resolution is required in order to obtain final approval from the Charitable Gaming Division of the Bureau of State Lottery for this event and any future events.
