Title

Resolution No. 4 - Confirming the Geddes Avenue Storm Water Special Assessment

Memorandum

Attached for your review and approval is Resolution No. 4 confirming the Special Assessment Roll for the Geddes Road Storm Water - Special Assessment, District No. 76 File No. 2013-037

The improvement includes the installation of a new storm water management system consistent with the City’s Green Streets Policy along Geddes Avenue between Huntington and Gallop Park.  Because a majority of the storm water is generated within the City right-of-way (approximately 75%), and a minimal numbers of property front the project to be assessed.  The cost to be assessed was greatly reduced from the project cost.

Resolution 2 established the estimated cost of the project and the estimated project revenue sources and directing the preparation of the special assessment roll was approved by Council on July 20, 2015.  Resolution No. 3, approved by Council on July 20, 2015 scheduled the Public Hearing for August 6, 2015.

The total amount to be special assessed for the storm water cost is $25,138.00.

It is recommended that there be three annual payments.  This is derived at by considering the total amount due for the Geddes Avenue improvement project.
