PROCLAMATION
Huron River Day
July 12, 2015
WHEREAS, The Huron River is a major environmental asset of the Ann Arbor community; and
WHEREAS, All residents of the Ann Arbor area should know how important the river is to our community and how it is the responsibility of each of us, individually and jointly, to actively participate in its care and protection; and
WHEREAS, 2015 marks the 35th celebration of Huron River Day in the City of Ann Arbor; and
WHEREAS, This is a day for residents of the Ann Arbor Community to enjoy being on the river and its shores with games, exhibits, walks, canoes and paddle boats and to learn more about its care.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Christopher Taylor, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, do hereby, proclaim July 12, 2015 as Huron River Day and invite residents of our community to spend the day at Gallup Park and Parker Mill in celebration of the river.
