Body

Whereas, Shelter for homeless and low income persons is a priority for Ann Arbor City Council;

Whereas, Laws and regulations exist for the purpose of ensuring safe structures for human occupancy;

Whereas, Laws and regulations exist for the purpose of a safe environment for human occupancy;

Whereas, "Tiny homes" are regulated by such laws and regulations; and

Whereas, "Tiny homes" are an opportunity to provide shelter for the homeless and low income persons;

RESOLVED, City Council directs the City Administrator with assistance from the City Attorney to advise as to the practicality and legality of the establishment of "tiny homes" in Ann Arbor.
