Resolution to Appoint Robert Gordon and Doug Allen to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission (7 Votes Required for Doug Allen)

Whereas, One position on the City of Ann Arbor Greenbelt Advisory Commission is reserved for a member of an environmental group or organization;
Whereas, One position on the City of Ann Arbor Greenbelt Advisory Commission is reserved for a member to represent the development community;
Whereas, Robert Gordon possesses the qualifications necessary to serve in the member role reserved for an environmental group member and Doug Allen possesses the qualifications necessary to serve in the position reserved for a developer member;
Whereas, Doug Allen is a resident of Scio Township and 7 votes is required to appoint him to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
Whereas, The terms of Archer Christian and Peter Allen will expire June 30, 2015, creating two vacancies; and
Whereas, The City Council is vested with the power to appoint members to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
RESOLVED, That Robert Gordon be appointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission in the role of environmental group member, with a term beginning July 1, 2015 and expiring May 31, 2018;
RESOLVED, That Doug Allen be appointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission representing the development community, with a term beginning July 1, 2015 and expiring May 31, 2018; and
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Mr. Gordon and Mr. Allen of these appointments.
