Attached for your review and approval is Resolution No. 4 confirming the Special Assessment Roll for the Nixon Road Sidewalk - Special Assessment, District No. 46 File No. 2012-036

On May 21, 2012, City Council approved resolution R-12-234 supporting a Safe Routes to School grant application for Clague School. The City received grant funding approval from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), for a new 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk to be constructed on the east side of Nixon Road from the Clague School driveway entrance to Haverhill Court. On October 20, 2014 City Council passed resolution R-14-354 to approve the City-State agreement with MDOT for the project.

Resolution 2 established the estimated cost of the project and the estimated project revenue sources and directing the preparation of the special assessment roll was approved by Council on March 2, 2015. Included in the roll were the property owners of the Northbury Condominium Phase I and II and the two owners on Nixon Road. Resolution No. 3, approved by Council on March 2, 2015 scheduled the Public Hearing for April 6, 2015.

The total amount to be special assessed for the sidewalk cost is $14,536.52. Per City ordinance, it is recommended that the property located at 2700 Nixon Road (PIN 09-09-15-100-034) share be in three annual payments and all other properties special assessed share be in one payment.
