Resolution to Approve the Closing of Maynard Street for the Barracuda Networks BBQ on Wednesday, September 10, 2014

Attached for your consideration is a request from the sponsor, Barracuda Networks, Inc., to close Maynard Street from Liberty to the entrance of the Maynard Street Parking Structure on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. The Structure will remain open and accessible throughout the event.
Barracuda Networks had hosted BBQs at their previous office on Depot Street and would like to continue this event at their newest location on Maynard Street. The sponsor's goal in having this event is to bring employees together while also gaining visibility in the community in which they work. All impacted businesses have been notified of this event. Further notification will be through the City's website and GovDelivery.
The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the street and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.
If necessary, the sponsor will submit an application for approval from the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas pursuant to the MLCC regulations.
