Resolution to Approve Earlier Street Closings for the Cleats and Beats, International Champions Celebration on Friday, August 1, 2014 to begin at 9:00 AM instead of 12:00 Noon
Memorandum
Attached for your consideration is a resolution to close streets for Cleats and Beats, International Champions Celebration, on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Midnight

Subsequent to Council approving street closures on July 7, 2014 associated with the Cleats and Beats event, the sponsor, the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, has requested an earlier closing of streets starting at 9:00 AM on August 1, 2014. The previously approved request closed the streets beginning at 12:00 Noon on August 1, 2014. The sponsor has requested the additional time to meet their need for the setup for this event. City staff finds no issues with this request. An announcement of the earlier street closing will be issued through the City's website, GovDelivery, the AAACVB website and local media.

The following streets will be closed from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight:

* South Main from East William to Huron
* East and West Liberty from South Ashley to South Fourth
* East and West Washington from South Ashley to the alley before the parking structure, leaving it fully accessible
