Resolution to Approve a Purchase Order to Cogsdale Corporation for Annual Software Maintenance and Support Agreement for FY2015 (NTE $77,000.00)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and action is a resolution approving a purchase order to Cogsdale Corporation not to exceed $77,000.00 for maintenance and support of the Water Utility Management System software for FY2015.
The Cogsdale software is primarily used by the Customer Services Unit for supporting Water Utilities, Solid Waste, Airport, and Administration, customer account management, billing and financial tracking. During the course of the year software upgrades and annual maintenance are required and as the developer of this proprietary software, Cogsdale, is the sole source provider.
It is imperative to maintain the agreement with Cogsdale Corporation to receive application updates and maintain support. The City has a perpetual license to run the Cogsdale Corporation software.
Sufficient funding for the maintenance fee for these applications is budgeted for and available in the FY2015 Information Technology Services Unit budget.
Cogsdale Corporation received Human Rights compliance approval on May 23, 2014 and Living Wage compliance approval on June 2, 2014.
