Stone School Road Reconstruction Project - Resolution No. 2; Sidewalk Special Assessment District No. 44; Curb and Gutter Special Assessment District No. 503
Memorandum
The City of Ann Arbor has designed the Stone School Road Reconstruction Project from I-94 to Ellsworth Road. It is currently planned to construct the project during 2015. The project is expected to be advertised and bid through MDOT.

In conformance with the City's Complete Streets Policy, the project will add on-street bike lanes and construct a new sidewalk along the west side of Stone School Road. Curb and gutter and bioswales will be constructed to help improve storm water quality within the project limits and reduce non-point source discharges.

The values below depict how the federal funds were used to offset the amount of the special assessment and how the values were calculated:

Total construction costs:
$ 89,937.04
Engineering/Testing/Inspection costs (estimated @43% of the construction costs)
$ 38,672.93
Less Federal Participation (@81.85% of construction costs):
($ 73,613.47)
Total amount to be distributed through special assessment
$ 54,996.50

Resolution No. 2 establishes the estimated costs and distribution. The City Assessor's Office will also be preparing and submitting Resolution No. 3 which establishes the date of the Pu...
