Transmittal of the Final Report of the R4C/R2A Zoning District Advisory Committee
Memorandum
City Council passed Resolution R-13-217 on July 1, 2013 reappointing the R4C/R2A Zoning District Advisory Committee in response to a request from the committee for continued participation in developing the R4C and R2A recommendations.
The following members were appointed to advise the Planning Commission on draft ordinance amendments:
· Planning Commission Representative (1): Sabra Briere
· Rental Property Owner Representative (1): Chuck Carver (replaced by Jay Holland)
· Representative from each Ward (2 from each ward):
· 1st Ward: Ilene Tyler and Ray Detter
· 2nd Ward: Wendy Carman and Carl Luckenbach
· 3rd Ward: Ellen Rambo and Michelle Derr (did not serve)
· 4th Ward: Julie Weatherbee (chair) and Nancy Leff
· 5th Ward: Ethel Potts and Anya Dale (did not serve)
The Advisory Committee met four times from August through September 2013 and developed a report that responds to both the May 2012 Advisory Committee Report and the April 2013 Planning Commission Report. The final report of the Advisory Committee is attached.
Representatives of the Advisory Committee met with the Planning Commission on December 10, 2013 to discuss the final report recommendations. The Planning Commission Ordinance Revisions Committee will begin drafting zoning amendments for the R4C district in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year.
