Resolution Confirming the Termination of the Memorandum of Understanding Between the City and University Regarding Fuller Road Station

Whereas, In December, 2010, the City and the University of Michigan entered into the Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of Ann Arbor and the Regents of the University of Michigan for the Development of Fuller Road Station ("MOU");
 
Whereas, The goal of the MOU was for the City and University to jointly develop an intermodal transportation station, referred to as Fuller Road Station, which would have included a shared parking structure, a bus stop with passenger waiting area, and bike parking and lockers in the first phase of the project;
 
Whereas, The additional phases of Fuller Road Station may have included additional parking, connections to rail platforms, a rail waiting/ticketing area, an Ann Arbor Transportation Authority and University bus terminal and skywalk connections to the University of Michigan Hospital;
 
Whereas, Fuller Road Station was planned to be developed at the site of an existing parking lot in Fuller Park;
 
Whereas, The City and University pursued the goals of the MOU in good faith through February, 2012, when both parties announced that Fuller Road Station would no longer be pursued; and
 
Whereas, Since February, 2012, neither the City or University have pursued the goals of the MOU;
 
RESOLVED, That City Council confirms the termination of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Ann Arbor and the Regents of the University of Michigan for the Development of Fuller Road Station.
