Resolution to Accept the Donation of 2.02 Acres from William C. Martin (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and action is a resolution to accept the donation of the 2.02 acre property adjacent to Stapp Nature Area from William C. Martin.

Mr. William Martin contacted the City expressing his interest in donating 2.02 acres of the parcel he owns along the Traverwood Drive for parkland and open space. The 2.02 acre parcel contains high quality woods and is adjacent to the Stapp Nature Area, already owned by the City of Ann Arbor. The City purchased the Stapp Nature Area from William C. and Sally A. Martin approximately 10 years ago. The property is also in proximity to the Leslie Golf Course and Leslie Woods Nature Area. The property is planned to remain a natural area and will be maintained in conjunction with the Stapp Nature Area.

The 2.02 acre is part of a larger parcel, for which a site plan for development has been submitted for Ann Arbor Planning Commission review. The site plan will provide a trail connection from Stapp Nature Area to Leslie Woods.
