·      Climb aboard an air-conditioned, motor coach for a tour of the Greenbelt Program's protected farm and open-space properties tour on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $10.00. Register by Friday, Sept. 13, by calling 794.6000 ext. 42798.
 
·      The 2013 annual Dog Swim is scheduled at Buhr Pool when it closes for the season on Wednesday, Sept. 4 and Thursday, Sept. 5 from 3 to 8 p.m. To register, call 734.794.6234. ·      The Ann Arbor Police Department's Office of Emergency Management in conjunction with the Washtenaw County Emergency Management Division is accepting applications for the Washtenaw County CERT training program, which educates residents about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact Washtenaw County and trains participants in basic disaster response skills. ·      The Public Technology Institute recently awarded the City of Ann Arbor with a technology achievement award in the category of Public Safety Technology and Emergency Management for our successful incorporation of the CrimeView Dashboard into police operations, which has helped the AAPD analyze crime trends and strategically deploy critical police resources.
