Resolution to Appoint John Ramsburgh to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission
Memorandum
The Open Space and Parkland Preservation Ordinance, Chapter 42 of the City Code, stipulates that the Greenbelt Advisory Commission shall consist of three (3) members at large.
On June 30, 2013, Dan Ezekiel's term on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission expired. He served on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission since July 1, 2007 as an at-large member and a replacement for this specific appointment is necessary. John Ramsburgh has expressed an interest in serving in this capacity. Appointment of a new three-year term is recommended.

Whereas, City Council passed an ordinance creating a Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
Whereas, The ordinance requires City Council to nominate and appoint the members of the Commission; and
Whereas, A vacancy exists for an at-large member with the expiration of Dan Ezekiel's term on June 30; and
Whereas, John Ramsburgh would accept appointment to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission as an at-large member;
RESOLVED, That John Ramsburgh be appointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission as an at-large member for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016; and
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Mr. Ramsburgh and the chair of the Greenbelt Advisory Commission of the appointment.
