Resolution to Approve a Professional Services Agreement with CDM Smith Michigan, Inc. ($212,784.00) for the Springwater Subdivision Improvements Project
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to approve a Professional Services Agreement, in the amount of $212,785.00 with CDM Smith Michigan, Inc. for engineering consulting services for the Springwater Subdivision Improvements Project. In addition, this resolution also authorizes the City Administrator to approve change orders to the Professional Services Agreement with CDM Smith Michigan, Inc. up to the total of $10,640.00.

The City of Ann Arbor is planning to undertake the complete reconstruction of multiple streets in three phases beginning in 2014 within the Springwater Subdivision. The approved FY2014-2019 Capital Improvements Plan includes the following three projects: TR-SC-14-22 - Springwater Subdivision Street Reconstruction; UT-ST-10-04 - Springwater Subdivision Storm Sewer Replacement and UT-WT-14-18 - Springwater Subdivision Water Main Replacement, which are collectively known as the Springwater Subdivision Improvements Project. This project includes a reconstructed roadway section, storm sewer upgrades, storm water quality improvements, water main replacement, replacement of curb and gutter, and the construction of new sidewalk and/or the filling in of sidewalk gaps within the project limits.

The Consultant will prepare a Storm Water Plan and Impact Analysis for the entire Springwater Subdivision for submittal to the MDEQ Nonpoint Source Program, as required. This will be prepared under the assumption that all streets in this subdivision will eventually be reconstructed.
