Resolution to Approve the Higgins Annexation, 0.51 Acre, 2121 Victoria Circle (CPC Recommendation: Approval -- 7 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of this vacant property from Ann Arbor Township into the City. The property is within the City's water and sewer service area, and the proposed use is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. Council action on the proposed R1A (Single Family Dwelling District) zoning will be scheduled after the annexation process is complete.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 16, 2013, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Ann Arbor and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, William and Maura Higgins are the owners of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of William and Maura Higgins to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 359 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1947, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
· Lot 19, Jennings Newport Heights, part of the S.W. ¼ of the S.E. ¼ of Section 18, T.2S, R.6E, Ann Arbor Township (now City), Washtenaw County, Michigan, as recorded in Liber 10 of Plats, Page 56, Washtenaw County records.
