Whereas, The appointment of members of the Greenbelt Advisory Commission is a prerogative of the City Council;
Whereas, There will be a vacancy on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission due to the expiration of the term held by Laura Rubin on June 30, who has served the maximum number of terms;
Whereas, Jennifer Fike has expressed an interest in serving on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission and would accept an appointment to the Commission effective July 1, 2013;
Whereas, The Greenbelt Advisory Commission recommends the appointment of Jennifer Fike to the Commission; and
Whereas, Jennifer Fike was presented to City Council on May 20, 2013 for consideration for appointment to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
RESOLVED, That Jennifer Fike be appointed to a new three -year term, replacing Laura Rubin, on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission, beginning July 1, 2013 and expiring June 30, 2016; and
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Ms. Fike of this appointment.
