Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval please find a resolution approving a change order in the total amount of $140,000.00 for the contract with PK Contracting Inc., for the Annual Pavement Markings Project (ITB-4235). This change order revises the original amount of $405,000.00 to $545,000.00.

The pavement marking project consists of the replacement of deficient pavement markings on major and local streets city-wide including signalized intersections, school crossings, traffic calming, bike lane and other miscellaneous markings throughout the City.

On, July 2, 2012, by Resolution R-12-309, City Council approved the existing contract with PK Contracting Inc., based on ITB-4235 for a total amount of $405,000.00, which was based on estimated quantities. This change order increases the existing contract amount by $140,000.00, for a final total of $545,000.00. This proposed change order has received the contractor’s acceptance.

PK Contracting Inc., has received Human Rights approval on April 25, 2013. All employees of PK Contracting Inc., assigned to work on the project will receive compensation in accordance with the Living Wage Ordinance and PK Contracting Inc, received Living Wage Ordinance approval on March 29, 2013.
