Resolution to Approve a Residential Parking District for North Ives Woods and Appropriate General Fund Unobligated Fund Balance ($1,800.00) (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to establish a Residential Parking Permit (RPP) district for the North Ives Woods Association (NIWA). Also, attached is a Traffic Control Order (TCO) indicating streets to be signed for residential parking.

The streets to be included are as follows, excluding frontage for non-residential properties:
1. Austin Ave, from 1925 to 1901
2. Norway Rd, from 1919 to 2026
3. Fair Oaks, from 1111 to 1136
4. Corner of Fair Oaks and Washtenaw for the Fair Oaks side of 1850

Note: Property adjacent to non-residential property is excluded from the program such as: 2000 Washtenaw (Jewish Center)

Implementation of the district, including installation of signage, mailings to eligible properties and sale of permits will take 4 to 6 weeks to complete after authorization by City Council. Permits for the district will be sold annually with the permits effective August 14, 2013 and expiring August 14, 2013. This timeframe was selected as it coincides with all of the other residential parking districts. The initial sale of permits for this district will be prorated from implementation until August 14, 2013.

The proposed NIWA RPP District would have a two-hour parking l...
