PROCLAMATION
In Appreciation of
PHI BETA SIGMA
December 3, 2012
WHEREAS, The University of Michigan's Phi Beta Sigma have dedicated themselves to volunteering in the assistance of the Ann Arbor Parks; and
WHEREAS, Phi Beta Sigma has worked with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program at several of our recreation facilities and special events including multiple pool splash days and our annual Huron River Day celebrations.
WHEREAS, Phi Beta Sigma's volunteer efforts have been continually praised by patrons in attendance as being some of the friendliest and most engaged volunteers they have interacted with.
WHEREAS, Their consistent participation and ongoing efforts to partner with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program has made a positive impact on the facilities and park events as well as the GIVE 365 program as a whole
WHEREAS, The City of Ann Arbor appreciates the tireless effort of volunteers in assistance of our parks.
NOW THEREFORE, I, John Hieftje, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in recognition of these personal and volunteer endeavors, conducted to the greater good of our community, do hereby proclaim a commemoration of Phi Beta Sigma on December 3,, 2012, in the City of Ann Arbor.
