Memorandum
Attached for your review and action is a resolution to approve a project agreement with The State of Michigan, Department of Natural Resources for the approved grant to renovate the Gallup Park Livery and surrounding site and to accept and appropriate up to $300,000in funding.

The City is required to approve the grant agreement between the City and the State of Michigan. On March 21, 2011, the Mayor and Council adopted a resolution that approved the MNRTF grant application. The Park Advisory Commission also recommended approval of the grant application on March 15, 2011.

The grant provides $300,000.00 to the City of Ann Arbor to make improvements to the Gallup Park Livery and entry area at, including barrier free parking and entry improvements, trail renovations, livery building upgrades, patio renovations, new barrier free docks for kayaks and fishing, landscaping, and wayfinding signage. The terms of the grant agreement require a local match of $300,000.00. The $300,000city share was budgeted as a multi-year project as part of the approved FY2012 budget.

The required resolution for the grant agreement is included in the attached resolution.
