Attached for your review is a proposed resolution to remove the City Council member from the Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee.

WHEREAS, the membership of the Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee currently consists of eight voting members (seven citizen members and one City Council member) and the Urban Forestry & Natural Resources Planning Coordinator as a ninth, non-voting member;
WHEREAS, the Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee has requested that City Council remove the City Council member so that the quorum can be reduced from five to four voting members and so that there will be an odd total number of voting members; and
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that it is not necessary to have a City Council member as a voting member of the Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee;
RESOLVED, That the voting membership of the Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee shall consist of seven citizen members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of City Council, and that the Urban Forestry & Natural Resources Planning Coordinator shall be an eighth, non-voting member.
