Memorandum
Your approval is requested for Amendment No. 1 to the Employment Contract with Diane Koski to continue her services assisting the Accounting Services Unit for the next six months.   She currently employed under a nine month contract, which commenced May 2, 2011, for $23,400.00 assisting Accounting during the peak audit and budget season.  The Accounting Services Unit has had a resignation and needs additional assistance.
 
Ms. Koski will be compensated for actual hours worked at a rate of $15.00 per hour.  The total compensation under the amended contract will be $15,600.00 for the extended term based on an estimate of 1,040 hours of work with a total not to exceed $39,000.00.

Whereas, Diane Koski has assisted Accounting during peak budget and audit seasons;
 
Whereas, Additional services are needed due to a resignation; and
 
Whereas, Funding is available in the approved Accounting Services budget;
 
RESOLVED, That City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the employment contract with Diane Koski in the amount of $15,600.00 for the amended term with a total not to exceed of $39,000.00;
 
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Employment Agreement with Diane Koski after approval as to form by the City Attorney and approval as to substance by the City Administrator; and
 
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take the necessary actions to implement this resolution.
