Title
Public Hearing on Housing and Human Services Needs
Memorandum
The public hearing scheduled for the December 17, 2007 City Council session is a critical part of the Community Development process of identifying housing and human service needs and establishing funding priorities to address these needs for FY 09. In addition, a public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 8th at 6 PM at the Housing and Human Services Advisory Board meeting.
These public hearings provide information for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, for the upcoming fiscal year allocations of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), and City General Funds to nonprofit housing and human services organizations.
In addition to providing information on needs and priorities for the funding process, these hearings provide important information for the development of the City's Annual Plan element of the Consolidated Strategy and Plan, which is mandated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
