Resolution Accepting Annual Renewal Recommendation of the Council Liquor License Review Committee
Memorandum
The attached resolution requests acceptance of the Recommendations of the Council Liquor License Review Committee on setting hearings for non-renewal for the following liquor license holders:
· Liquor License No. 186555-2011 held by V. R. Entertainment Network, Inc. (d/b/a Dream Niteclub & Lounge)
· Liquor License No. 199326-2011 held by RUSH 314 LLC

Body
Whereas, The Council Liquor License Review Committee has completed its annual review of on-premises liquor licenses in accordance with Section 9:79 of the Ann Arbor City Code;
Whereas, After investigation and receipt of recommendation from City service areas, the Council Liquor License Review Committee recommends non-renewal of the on-premises liquor licenses for the following license holders:
· Liquor License No. 186555-2011 held by V.R. Entertainment Network, Inc. (d/b/a Dream Niteclub & Lounge) for violations of Chapter 109 including violations of the state liquor law and the maintenance of a nuisance upon or in connection with the licensed premises; and
· Liquor License No. 199326-2011 held by RUSH 314 LLC for failure to timely pay all taxes due and owing to the City.
Whereas, City Council has previously appointed a Hearing Officer to conduct the required hearing on a recommendation of non-renewal and the Council Liquor License Review Committee has set the date of March 19, 2012 for hearing the above matters;
RESOLVED, That City Council accept the recommendation that the above matter be set for hearing for the reasons stated and all other on-premises liquor licenses be renewed for this annual renewal period.
