The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. 21-14, which was approved by City Council on June 7, 2021. The City Charter allows summary
publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. Approval of this resolution will reduce the cost of publishing due to the size of the ordinance.

RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance No. 21-14 shall be made by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 21-14 amends Section 5.15 (Table 5.15-2) And Section 5.16.6 Of Chapter 55 (Unified Development Code) Of Title V Of The Code Of The City Of Ann Arbor. The Amendments impact Accessory Dwelling Units by removing: lot size minimums, owner-occupancy requirement and corresponding deed restriction, restrictions of detached accessory dwelling unit based on age of structure, parking requirement, and architectural design standards. The Amendments also extend Accessory Dwelling Units to most Residential Zoning Districts.
The effective date of the Ordinance is 10 days after publication.
