Resolution to Appoint a Member to the Golf Courses Advisory Task Force

Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force was initially approved on March 3, 2008, and is comprised of 1 Councilmember, 1 Parks Advisory Commission member, 1 current commercial operations expert, 2 Ann Arbor citizens with demonstrated golf operations expertise, 1 citizen with group golf play experience, 1 at-large Ann Arbor golf courses patron, and 1 citizen representative of a neighborhood association adjacent to one of the golf courses, nominated and approved by the Mayor and City Council;
Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force is responsible directly to the Mayor and City Council, and also reports out to the Parks Advisory Commission; and
Whereas, The Golf Course Advisory Task Force has a vacancy due to the resignation of Stephen Rodriguez, an Ann Arbor citizen with group golf play experience;
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Council appoint Thomas Allen, Ann Arbor citizen with group golf play experience to the Golf Courses Advisory Task Force, with a term that expires on March 1, 2011 and be eligible for renewal annually thereafter following review and approval by the Mayor and City Council.
