An Ordinance to Amend Sections 1:700 and 1:704 of Chapter 21, Retiree Health Care Benefits Plan and Trust, Title I, of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor To Implement Changes Negotiated with the Teamsters Civilian Supervisors, Teamsters Police Deputy Chiefs, and Teamsters Police Professional Assistants Bargaining Units (Ordinance No. Ord-12-36)
Memorandum
These amendments reflect changes negotiated with the Teamsters Civilian Supervisors, and Teamsters Police Deputy Chiefs and Police Professional Assistants Bargaining Units which provide that effective July 2, 2012 and thereafter new hires, rehires and transfers from another position within the City subject to the provisions of Chapter 18, Employee Retirement System, Section 1.552.1(19)(a) Final Average Compensation provisions will be eligible for an access-only health care plan at the time of their retirement, rather than City-paid retiree health care.
In addition, the amendments also clarify that previously negotiated changes with other City bargaining units are uniformly subject to the same standards.
