Resolution to Approve the July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2013 Police Service Specialist Collective Bargaining Agreement

Whereas, The current collective bargaining agreement between the City of Ann Arbor and the Police Service Specialist expired June 30, 2009;
Whereas, The parties have reached a settlement on a new agreement, which provides an increase in Pension contribution to 6% (pre-tax) the elimination of the ICMA 457 Match, and a $500.00 HRA/$500.00 Wellness Incentive Credit.
Whereas, The agreement also includes provisions for a revised health plan design with two options and an increase to two co-pays for every three months of mail order prescriptions;
Whereas, The City Administrator recommends approval of the negotiated agreement;
RESOLVED, That the City Council approve the 4-year settlement agreement providing for no wage adjustment in this agreement, and updated health care plan; and
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk be hereby authorized to sign the bargaining agreement on behalf of the City, after approval as to substance by the City Administrator and approval as to form by the City Attorney.
