Memorandum
At their December 4, 2008, meeting, the Elizabeth Dean Fund committee identified and approved street tree planting projects totaling $32,000.00 to be spent in accordance with the purpose of the Elizabeth Dean Trust Fund for fiscal year 2009.  The trees will be planted along Packard Road, Plymouth Road and Eisenhower Parkway in the spring of 2009 by City staff.  The City of Ann Arbor and Elizabeth Dean Fund committee are requesting that City Council appropriate fund balance from the Elizabeth Dean Trust Fund in the amount of $32,000.00 and establish an expenditure budget in this fund without regard to fiscal year.

Whereas, The Elizabeth Dean Fund trust provides funding to plant and maintain trees on city property and right-of-ways in the City of Ann Arbor;
 
Whereas, The Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee has identified street tree planting projects for FY 2009; and
 
Whereas, The Elizabeth Dean Fund Committee approved said projects totaling $32,000.00 on December 4, 2008;
 
RESOLVED, That $32,000.00 be appropriated from the fund balance of the Elizabeth Dean fund for the life of the project without regard to fiscal year; and
 
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take the necessary administrative actions to implement this Resolution.
