Resolution to Approve Changes to Bylaws of the Ann Arbor City Planning Commission
Memorandum
The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission recommends approval of the attached amended bylaws. Article VII, Section 16 of the bylaws were amended to change the advance notice required for special accommodations from 24 hours to two business days, consistent with recent changes in procedure by the City Clerk's Office. These amended bylaws were approved by the City Planning Commission at its meeting of July 16, 2013. The changes have been reviewed by the City Attorney's Office, consistent with Council Resolution R-08-496.

Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission desires to amend its bylaws to reorganize them and make them consistent with other city bylaws;
Whereas, City Council has passed a resolution directing the City Attorney to review the bylaws of City boards and commissions and revise them for consistency and uniformity to the extent practicable while meeting the requirements of individual boards and commissions;
Whereas, The City Attorney has reviewed the proposed amended bylaws in accordance with City Council's resolution;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission approved the proposed amended bylaws at its meeting of July 16, 2013; and
Whereas, City Council has passed a resolution requiring all proposed amendments and bylaws of City boards and commissions to be approved by Council;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve the attached bylaws for the Ann Arbor City Planning Commission.
