Memorandum

PROCLAMATION

In Appreciation of

Youth Volunteer Corps

October 6, 2014

WHEREAS,       The Youth Volunteer Corps has dedicated themselves to volunteering in the assistance of the Ann Arbor Parks; and  

WHEREAS,       Youth Volunteer Corps has worked with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program at several of our recreation facilities and parks assisting with river clean ups, special events, park clean ups, facility and landscape maintenance; and also volunteering with Natural Areas Preservation to remove invasive species; and

WHEREAS,       Their consistent participation with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program and the Natural Area Preservation team has made a positive impact on the facilities and parks as well as the customers in which they have interacted; and

WHEREAS,      The City of Ann Arbor appreciates the tireless work of volunteers in assistance of our parks.

NOW THEREFORE, I, John Hieftje, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in recognition of these personal and volunteer endeavors, conducted to the greater good of our community, do hereby proclaim a commemoration of the Youth Volunteer Corps on October 6, 2014, in the City of Ann Arbor.
