Resolution Accepting Easement for a Water Main Easement from the Public Schools of the City of Ann Arbor (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
There is a resolution before you to accept an easement for a water main from the Public Schools of the City of Ann Arbor, a public body corporate organized and existing under the Michigan Revised School Code, for a water main constructed on the Pioneer High School property.
As part of the construction of a stormwater detention facility on Grantor’s property, it was necessary to move an existing, stand-alone water main. That work was done by Washtenaw County as part of their construction of the stormwater detention facility, and has passed City inspections.
The easement is in standard form and conveyed without cost to the City.
Acceptance of the easement is recommended.

Whereas, the Public Schools of the City of Ann Arbor, a public body corporate organized and existing under the Michigan Revised School Code, is the owner in fee simple of real property located at 601 W. Stadium Boulevard in the City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, commonly known as Pioneer High School.
Whereas, the Public Schools of the City of Ann Arbor has delivered a permanent water main easement for lands located in the City of Ann Arbor, County of Washtenaw to the City, to run with the land and burden the respective property perpetually, being more particularly described as follows:
A 40 foot wide water main easement having a centerline described as follows: Commencing at the monumented center of Section 32, T2S, R6E, City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, being a found capped iron with a cap # 41092; thence S 87°30'00" W 613.50 feet along the E-W 1/4 line of said Section 32; thence S 03°08'31" E 127.66 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along the centerline of said ea...
