Resolution to Approve a Lease Agreement with and Issuance of Purchase Order(s) to Dan-Man I, L.L.C., for 15th Judicial District Court Probation Department Offices ($53,500.08 - 1st Year) (8 Votes Required)

This resolution seeks Council approval for a forty-two (42) month lease for 15th Judicial District Court Probation Department office space with Dan-Man I, LLC for offices located at 206 E. Huron Street.
This resolution also seeks Council authorization to issue one or more purchase orders to Dan-Man I, LLC to facilitate payment of lease costs, without regard to fiscal year.
Funds for this purchase order have been budgeted in the Court’s FY 08 budget and will continue to be budgeted in future fiscal years during the term of the lease.
Dan-Man I, LLC received Contract Compliance and Living Wage approval on November 14, 2007.

Whereas, The Chief Judge of the 15th Judicial District Court has determined that a Probation Department is necessary for the effective, efficient and beneficial administration of justice;
Whereas, Since 1998, the City of Ann Arbor has leased office space at 206 E. Huron Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan for the 15th Judicial District Court Probation Department from Dan-Man I, L.L.C.;
Whereas, The existing lease will terminate on December 31, 2007;
Whereas, It is in the best interests of the City of Ann Arbor to continue to provide Probation services from 206 E. Huron Street; and
Whereas, Funds have been budgeted and approved by Council for this purpose in the current Fiscal Year and will continue to be budgeted annually during the term of the lease; and
Whereas, Dan-Man I, L.L.C. received Living Wage and Contract Compliance approvals on November 14, 2007;
