Resolution to Appoint Golf Courses Advisory Task Force Members
Memorandum
Approval of the attached resolution will re-appoint current Golf Courses Advisory Task Force members, whose appointments expire March 1, 2009, to additional, one-year terms, ending March 1, 2010. Per the original resolution, Task Force members are eligible for annual renewal following review and approval by the Mayor and City Council.
Current Golf Courses Advisory Task Force members are:
Stephen Rapundalo, City Councilmember
Julie Grand, Parks Advisory Commission member
Doug Davis, Current commercial operations expert
Bill Newcomb, Ann Arbor citizen with demonstrated golf operations expertise
Paul Bancel, Ann Arbor citizen with demonstrated golf operations expertise
Ed Walsh, Ann Arbor citizen with demonstrated golf operations expertise
Harold Simons, Citizen with group golf play experience
Barbara Jo Smith, At-large Ann Arbor golf courses patron.

Whereas, On March 17, 2008, City Council created the Golf Courses Advisory Task Force;
Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force is to be comprised of 8 members, including 1 Councilmember, 1 Parks Advisory Commission member, 1 current commercial operations expert, 3 Ann Arbor citizens with demonstrated golf operations expertise, 1 citizen with group golf play experience, and an at-large Ann Arbor golf courses patron, nominated and approved by the Mayor and City Council;
Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force will be responsible directly to the Mayor and City Council, but will also report out to the Parks Advisory Commission; and
Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force will expire on March 1, 2010 and be eligible for renewal annually thereafter following review and approval by the Mayor and City Council;
