Resolution to Approve Temporary Outdoor Sales, Service and Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages during the 2010 Ann Arbor Art Fair for Old Town Tavern, 122 W. Liberty
Memorandum
Sgt. Robert Pfannes of the Ann Arbor Police Services mailed applications to establishments with liquor licenses in the Art Fair area to determine the number of licensees seeking authorization for temporary outdoor sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages during the Ann Arbor Art Fair to be held July 21-24, 2010. Applications were required only from licensed establishments that do not have permanent outdoor service, or who wish to change the outdoor service area boundaries for this event. The resolution to approve the temporary outdoor sales licenses was approved by City Council on June 21, 2010.
Since that time, Old Town Tavern has expressed an interest in obtaining a temporary license for outdoor sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages during the Art Fair. Due to the lateness of the application, the Michigan Liquor Control Commission has indicated that the application could be approved for service beginning on Thursday, July 22, 2010 if approved by City Council, and pending final review and approval by MLCC.
The Ann Arbor Police Services have given their approval.

Liberty, a liquor licensed establishment, be approved for temporary authorization for outdoor sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages during the 2010 Ann Arbor Art Fair to be held July 21-24, 2010, within the defined areas filed with the Ann Arbor Police Services.
