Resolution for Community Events Fund Disbursements from the FY 09 Budget (8 Votes Required)
Body
Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Council wishes to support activities that promote or bring the community together in its richness;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor Community Events Committee met and reviewed funding requests from community groups; and
Whereas, The Committee recommends the following allocations:
1) Main Street Area Association - Rolling Sculpture Car Show - July 2008 - $1,722.00 to cover city fees
2) Main Street Area Association - UA Block Party - August 2008 - $1,226.00 to cover city fees
3) Main Street Area Association - Oktoberfest - September 2008 - $652.00 to cover city fees
4) Ann Arbor Community of Traditional Music and Dance - Dancing in the Streets - August 2008 - $1,106.00 to cover city fees
5) Main Street Area Association - Festifools - April 2009 - $1,390.00 to cover city fees
6) Main Street Area Association - Taste of Ann Arbor - May 2009 - $1,390.00 to cover city fees
7) Michigan Takes Back the Night - Take Back the Night - April 2009 - $2,500.00 to cover city fees
8) Ann Arbor Summer Festival - Top of the Park - June 2009 - $10,000.00 to fund the Ann Arbor Summer Festival
9) Ann Arbor Jaycees - July 4 Parade - July 2008 - $3,346.00 to cover city fees
RESOLVED, That the Ann Arbor City Council appropriate and approve the recommended allocations from the FY 09 General Fund fund balance.
