Resolution to Approve FY 15 and FY 16 Allocations to Non-Profit Entities for Human Services - $1,244,629.00 (General Fund)

Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve FY 15 and FY 16 General Fund allocations to non-profit entities for human services, totaling $1,244,629. These awards are contingent on City Council's approval of the FY 15 budget, which includes this level of human services funding.
On November 7, 2013, through resolution #13-1164, City Council approved a continuation of the coordinated funding process for human services funding in partnership with the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, the United Way of Washtenaw County, Washtenaw County, the Washtenaw Urban County, and the RNR Foundation. This coordinated funding process includes a Coordination/Planning funding process (United Way, Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, and RNR Foundation funding), a Capacity Building funding process (United Way, Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, and RNR Foundation funding), and a Program Operations funding process (City, County, Urban County, United Way, and Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation funding) in which each process is informed by the others and funders collaborate to ensure efficient and effective investment of both public and private human services funding. The final approval of funding recommended in each of these processes, however, remains under the authority of each partner's board.
The City's FY 15 and FY 16 General Fund investments in non-profit entities for human services are included in the Program Operations component of this coordinated funding process. Implementation of this process began with a Request for Information (RFI), issued in November 2013, which determined an agency's financial, governance and organizational capability to manage human services funding and program delivery.
