Resolution to Appoint Jean Cares, John Ramsburg & Jennifer Fike to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission (7 Votes Required for Jean Cares) (One step Appointment-8 Votes Required)

Whereas, One position on the City of Ann Arbor Greenbelt Advisory Commission is reserved for a member to represent an agricultural landowner or agricultural business;
Whereas, One position on the City of Ann Arbor Greenbelt Advisory Commission is reserved for a member to represent an Environmental and/or conservation group;
Whereas, Three positions on the Ann Arbor Greenbelt Advisory Commission are reserved for members of the public at large;
Whereas, Jean Cares currently serves on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission and possesses the qualifications necessary to serve in the member role reserved for an agricultural landowner;
Whereas, Jean Cares is a resident of Dexter and 7 votes are required to reappoint her to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission per section 12.2(b) of the City Charter;
Whereas, John Ramsburgh currently serves on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission and possesses the qualifications necessary to serve in the position reserved for a member of the public at large;
Whereas, Jennifer Fike possesses the qualifications necessary to serve in the position reserved for a representative of an Environmental and/or conservation group;
Whereas, The City Council is vested with the power to appoint members to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
RESOLVED, That Jean Cares be reappointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission in the role of agricultural landowner, with a term beginning June 1, 2016-May 31, 2019;
RESOLVED, That John Ramsburgh be reappointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission in the role of member of the public at large, with a term beginning June 1, 2016-May 31, 2019;
RESOLVED, That Jennifer Fike be appointted to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission in the role of environmental group member, with a term beginning June 1, 2016-May 31, 2019;
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Ms. Cares, Mr. Ramburgh and Ms. Fike of these appointments.
