Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. 07-61. The Ordinance repeals the existing City Code Chapter 14, Purchasing, Contracting and Selling Procedure, and adopts a new Chapter 14, Purchasing, Contracting and Selling Procedure. The new Chapter 14 has been updated to reflect changes in administrative responsibilities for procurement services under the City’s current administrative organizational structure and restate, revise or add new sections on procurement procedures and process.
The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City’s cost resulting from the required publication of the revisions to the City Code.

RESOLVED, That Ordinance No. 07-61 be published by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 07-61 repeals the existing City Code Chapter 14, Purchasing, Contracting and Selling Procedure, and adopts a new Chapter 14, Purchasing, Contracting and Selling Procedure.
