Resolution to Approve Ann Arbor Township Annexations (4 Properties - Anderson/Connell, Powsner, Stetz and Thompson) (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 8 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
This resolution is to approve the annexation of four properties from Ann Arbor Township into the City. These properties are within the City's water and sewer service area and are consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. They will come back for Council action on the zoning to single-family dwelling district after the annexation process is complete. The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of January 15, 2008, recommended approval of the annexations.

Whereas, The territories hereinafter described are located in the Township of Ann Arbor and are adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, following is a list of the owners of said properties: Lindsay Anderson and John Connell at 2810 Glazier Way, Rhoda M. Powsner Trust at 485 Riverview Drive, John and Sharon Stetz at 3444 East Huron River Drive; and Michael and Marie Thompson at 180 Riverview Court; and
Whereas, It is the desire of above-named property owners to annex said territories to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 359 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1947, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township of Ann Arbor and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
