An Ordinance to Amend Section 1:17 of Chapter 1 (Code Violation Citations - ROW Enforcement) of Title I of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor for the Public Services Project Management Unit (Ordinance No. ORD-09-25)
Memorandum
This ordinance amends Section 1:17 of Chapter 1 of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor. These amendments are recommended to update the Code and to allow greater enforcement capabilities within the Project Management Services Unit for work in the Public Rights of Way by others.
The Project Management Services Unit is responsible for coordinating the work of private contractors in the Public Rights of Way. These amendments to the City Code will allow the Project Management Services Unit staff to continue enforcing the Code as in the past. Also, the proposed amendments to the City Code include the updated formal titles of the staff who will enforce the Code.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1:17 OF CHAPTER 1 (CODE VIOLATION CITATIONS) OF TITLE I OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR.
The City of Ann Arbor Ordains:
Section 1. That Section 1:17 of Chapter 1 of Title I of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor be amended to read as follows:
1:17. Code violation citations.
The administrators of the following services areas and the persons holding the positions or performing the functions listed within each services area are authorized to issue citations for violations of the indicated chapters of this Code. This designation of authority is in addition to that otherwise provided by law.
