Attached is a resolution requesting approval to authorize a Professional Services Agreement with Amcomm Telecommunications Inc. for the construction of 4 lateral fiber optic network connections to 3 Housing Commission locations and Cobblestone Farms in order to connect them to the city’s network. Network design and planning services were performed in advance under the authorization of Resolution R-18-370. A Network Construction Bid Form was submitted to 4 contractors who were selected to bid on On-Demand Fiber Optic Construction per RFP#18-33. Three responses were received and Amcomm Telecommunications Inc. was the lowest bidder.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: The total amount of $132,556 plus an additional 10% contingency in the amount of $13,256 is being requested to be appropriated from the Information Technology I-NET fund balance.

Whereas, Four lateral fiber connections need to be constructed in order to connect three new Housing Commission locations and Cobblestone Farms to the city’s network;
Whereas, The City issued On-Demand Fiber Optic Construction bid forms to four contractors approved to respond per RFP#18-33;
Whereas, The City selected Amcomm Telecommunications, Inc. as the lowest bidder;
Whereas, The total amount of $132,556 plus an additional 10% contingency in the amount of $13,256 will be appropriated from the Information Technology I-NET Fund Balance;
RESOLVED, That the City Council approve the agreement with Amcomm Telecommunications Inc. for On-Demand Fiber Optic Construction for 3 new Housing Commission locations and Cobblestone Farms;
RESOLVED, That City Council appropriate $132,556 from the Information Technology Fund I-NET fund balance to the FY21 Information Technology Fund I-Net project expenditure budget for the purpose fiber optic construction for three new Housing Commission locations and Cobblestone Farms;
RESOLVED, That City Council appropriate $13,256 from the Information Technology Fund I-NET fund balance to the FY21 Information Technology Fund I-Net project expenditure budget for the purpose of a ten percent (10%) project contingency, subject to City Administrator approval;
RESOLVED, That all amounts herein are without regard to fiscal year;
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute the agreement with Amcomm Telecommunications, Inc. after approval as to substance by the City Administrator and approval as to form by the City Attorney; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take the necessary actions to implement this resolution including the execution of any documents or amendments that do not exceed the amounts authorized herein.
