Resolution to Approve a Support Agreement with BSB Communications, Inc. for support of the City’s Mitel Phone System ($78,195.85) (Sourcewell Contract# 0022719-MBS)

Attached for your review and approval is a resolution authorizing a Support Agreement with BSB Communications, Inc. for a one-year term to support the City’s Mitel phone system, and to appropriate the funds to issue a purchase order to BSB Communications, Inc. in the amount of $78,195.85. The agreement provides the City with support and software upgrades to keep the Mitel phone system operational and up to date.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: Information Technology has included and budgeted for the cost of the purchase FY 2024.
It is imperative to keep the support agreement up to date on the Mitel phone system to keep the system at a fully functional and supported level.

Whereas, BSB Communications, Inc. is extending pricing for the Mitel Assurance Support through Sourcewell Contract# 0022719-MBS;
Whereas, BSB is ranked the #1 Mitel Dealer in Michigan and #12 in the US;
Whereas, Staying up to date on support and software upgrades for the Mitel phone system is crucial and necessary to keep the Mitel phone system operational for the daily operations and for the safety and security of the employees of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Funding for the Mitel phone system annual support is budgeted for and available in the approved FY 2024 Information Technology Fund budget; and
Whereas, BSB Communications, Inc. complies with the requirements of the City’s Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve the Support Agreement with BSB Communications, Inc. for support of the City’s Mitel Phone System and related third-party components, in the amount of $78,195.85; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take all necessary actions to implement this resolution.
