Design Review Board
Established by Section 1:239, Chapter 8, Title I of the Ann Arbor City Code
Bylaws approved November 7, 2014 by R-13-324

Purpose
The purpose of the Design Review Board is to foster excellence in the design of Ann Arbor’s built environment and to advise petitioners on how a project can meet the spirit and intent of the Downtown Design Guidelines.

Special Qualifications for Appointment
Members have an interest in the design of the built environment and its relationship to the downtown and the broader community.

Length of Terms
3 years

Meeting Times / Frequency
3rd Wednesday of every month at 8:30 a.m.

Membership / Committee Composition

7 members nominated by the Mayor and approved by City Council.

2 members shall be landscape architects
2 members shall be architects
1 member shall be an urban planner
1 member shall be a developer
1 member shall be a construction contractor.
